Unwind with the Whole Family at Hyatt Regency Orlando - A Perfect Family-Friendly Getaway

Relaxing in Hyatt Regency Orlando Bed

Hyatt Regency Orlando is nestled right in the heart of the I-Drive District. It's in a great area as it's so close to what seems to be everything. Just 7 minutes away is SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica. 15 minutes from Walt Disney World and 9 minutes from Universal Orlando Resort. Guest can easily walk over to the Pointe Orlando to enjoy a movie or great eats. Icon Park is also in walking distance which houses Sealife Orlando, Madame Tussauds and the Icon Wheel.

There is on-site parking available in two ways. There is self-parking which is about a 3-5 minute walk to the lobby area or Valet. Both have fees associated and are not included in your resort fee. While Orlando has several options on places you can stay let's dive into this one in particular.

Three Reasons We Loved The Hyatt Regency Orlando

Our Room:

Hyatt Regency Orlando King Suite

Our room for our stay was a one bedroom King Suite. We were on the 28th floor and it offered gorgeous views of the I-Drive district. There is a spacious bathroom, mini fridge, seating area that has a pull out sofa as well as a separate room with King Bed. This style room can easy be opened to an adjoining room for bigger groups. The beds were super comfy and the pull out was a great way to let the kids have their own sleeping space while us adults could close the door to the room. The huge windows all throughout the suite were amazing. We could even see fireworks nightly right from our room.

There is a coffee maker along with ice bucket as well. If you need a microwave while one is not in the room there are a few in the Market area. With all the dining nearby and in the hotel itself it's easy to want to bring back to enjoy.

Food & Beverage Options:

Eating Breakfast at B-Line Diner

Inside the hotel there are several places to dine but I suggest the B-Line Diner and the Market if traveling with kids. They have great options that can help navigate with younger kids. We visited the B-Line Diner for breakfast and the vibes inside were so fun. It really feels like you are inside a true Diner. The serve breakfast, lunch and dinner here and the pricing and pretty reasonable.

The Market was great for snacks but they also carry salads, can make pizza fresh on the spot and more. It's open 24 hours making it easy for the late night cravings. The hotel also features room service that you can order right from the tv in your room. There is an on-site Italian restaurant that while we did not get to visit everyone raved about the food.

Hotel Amenities:

Waterslide at Grotto Pool

If looking to relax, there is a Spa, Fitness Center and two lobby style bars. Outside Guest can find two pools. The Grotto Pool is a fan favorite as it sits outside next to Descend 21 and features a zero-entry pool, hot-tub, kids pool and waterslide. There is a waterfall, kids activities and even a scavenger hunt you can enjoy around the hotel. If you want a quieter pool, the terrace pool is olympic size and calmer.

If heading to the Orlando area and looking for a place to stay that is minutes from it all. Or even a local staycation to take in some of the areas best attractions be sure you check into the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

Until our next expedition.....
