Halloween season has arrived, and what better way to celebrate than at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World! This fun annual event is back for another year of family-friendly spooky fun. This special ticketed event happens at the Magic Kingdom Park select nights through October 31st! Disney Parks invited us out for the first night of the event and it was just the best wa cy for us to kick off spooky season.
Here are four tips to ensure you make the most of this magical event:
Arrive Early, Stay Late : The party officially starts at 7 p.m., but ticket holders can enter the park as early as 4 p.m. Take advantage of these extra hours to enjoy some of your favorite attractions with shorter lines.Once the party officially starts at 7pm head to see some of the special characters or try the specialty eats! The final hours of the party are usually less crowded, allowing for more spooky fun.
2. DRESS UP! : Dressing up is a big part of the experience at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Be sure to choose a costume that is not only creative and comfortable but also suitable for the Florida weather. Consider incorporating some Disney magic into your outfit to truly immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere. We went with a Toy Story theme and it was a hit throughout the party!
3. Focus on Exclusive Entertainment : From the "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade to the fireworks show, make sure to prioritize the exclusive entertainment offerings at the party. These experiences are unique to the event and shouldn't be missed. Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot for the parade and find the perfect location to watch the fireworks. The Parade is held twice: 8:15pm and 11:15pm we chose the later parade and this worked perfectly for us. Prior we were able to ride the Haunted Mansion, Meet Mickey Mouse in his new costume, hit all the treat trails, grab snacks and treats plus catch the fireworks and stage show.
PRO TIP: Visit Mickey or Jack & Sally at the Town Square Theater during the fireworks or shortly after for shorter wait times.
4. Trick-or-Treat Strategically : Trick-or-treating is a highlight for many party attendees. Grab a complimentary treat bag upon entering the park and keep an eye out for the designated treat trails. Be strategic in your approach to maximize your candy haul. You will find these trails will have little to no line later in the evening or during the parade or fireworks.

Guest can experience both Tron Lightcycle Run and Tiana's Bayou Adventure during the party using stand by lines. This means no virtual queues are needed. The longest we noticed both having wait times when we attended was 45 minutes.
In Tomorrowland over at Rockettower Plaza Stage Guest can catch the Descendance Party! Here you can dance to your favorite Descendants tunes from 7pm-12am. They do take breaks but if your child is a fan of these films they will enjoy this fun addition.
Villains have arrived! You can spot them sporadically in the park this year. Guest ran into Cruella upon entry plus we caught Maleficient and The Evil Queen hanging out at the Main Street Train Station. While they do not take photos with Guest it was nice to see the villains out.
Fun Speciality treats are spread at dining locations. We visited the Friar's Nook and grabbed the Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie and S'mores Cup! The S'mores cup is perfect for your sweet tooth while the hand pie is a nice kick of flavors to fill you for the evening.
Mickey & Minnie Mouse are in brand new neon spiderweb costumes! Plus you can meet Mirabel & Bruno during the party together for the first time!
Tickets for this event start at $129-$199 depending on dates. Guest under 3 do not require a ticket. Visiting with my two year old she absolutely loved it and we cannot wait to go again. Dates for August have already sold out however there are still tickets for September and October dates available.
Overall, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party provides a perfect blend of fun, magic, and Halloween cheer, making it a must-visit for families and Disney enthusiasts alike.
